Amtrak offers a 10% discount off the lowest available rail fare to New Carrollton, MD (NCR) between October 16, 2009 and October 28, 2009.

To book your reservations, please call Amtrak at (800) 872-7245 or contact your corporate travel office. Please refer to Convention Fare Code X09Y-962 to receive the 10% discount. The convention discount fare cannot be booked via Amtrak.com.

This offer is not valid on Acela Express service or on the Amtrak Auto Train. Offer is valid with Sleeper accommodations, Business Class or First Class seating with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges. Fare is valid on Amtrak Northeast Regional service for all departures seven days a week, except during holiday blackout dates.

Films will be shown in five venues at the Roosevelt Center in Historic Greenbelt and at the Academy Stadium Theaters at Beltway Plaza.

Directions to the Roosevelt Center

From Points West: Take Capital Beltway (495) to Exit 23 (Kenilworth Avenue/Route 201). Make a left on to Kenilworth. At the second light, make a right on to Crescent Road. Continue 1 ½ miles to Greenbelt city center.

From Points East: Take Capital Beltway (495) to Exit 23 (Kenilworth Avenue/Route 201). Make a right on to Kenilworth. At the next light, make a right on to Crescent Road. Continue 1 ½ miles to Greenbelt city center.

From DC: Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway to Greenbelt exit. Veer right on to the access road that parallels Greenbelt Road/Route 193 going West. At the top of the hill, make a right on to Southway Road. Immediately get in the left lane so you are not forced back on to the B/W Parkway. Continue 1 ½ blocks to Greenbelt city center.

From Baltimore: Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway to Greenbelt exit. Make a right on to Southway Road. Continue 1 ½ blocks to Greenbelt city center.

All venues in Historic Greenbelt are within a couple minutes walk of each other.

Directions to Academy Stadium Theaters at Beltway Plaza Mall

From Points West: Take Capital Beltway (495) to Exit 23 (Kenilworth Avenue/Route 201). Make a right on to Kenilworth. Make the next right on to Greenbelt Road/Route 193 going West. The Mall is ¼ mile on the right.

From Points East: Take Capital Beltway (495) to Exit 23 (Kenilworth Avenue/Route 201). Make a left on to Kenilworth. Make the next right on to Greenbelt Road/Route 193 going West. The Mall is ¼ mile on the right.

From DC: Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway to Greenbelt exit. Make a right on to Greenbelt Road/Route 193 going West. The Mall is ½ mile on the right.

From Baltimore: Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway to the Greenbelt exit. Make a left at the light on to Southway Road and the next right on to Greenbelt Road/Route 193 heading West. The Mall is ½ mile on the right.

Public Transportation Directions
(note: there is no bus service to Historic Greenbelt on Sundays -- we know this in amazing. Feel free to speak to Metro about this - we have.)

Take the Green Line train to Greenbelt.   

Transfer to any of the following Metrobuses:
C2 (towards Greenbelt Center) view the timetable
R12 (towards New Carrollton if you are going to any of the venues in Historic Greenbelt or towards Deanwood if you are going to the Academy Stadium Theaters) view the timetable
T16 (towards New Carrollton) view the timetable  

If you are going to Academy Stadium Theaters, ask the driver to let you off at Beltway Plaza Mall.  If you are going to any of the other venues, ask the driver to let you off as close to the Roosevelt Center in Historic Greenbelt as possible.
